Campaign Bulletin

January 24, 2010

The Campaign to Save Valley Transit needs many volunteers for its final two weeks. Ballots were mailed out on Jan. 22 for the Feb. 9 special election to approve the necessary funding to preserve our community bus and trolley system, dial-a-ride, and job access services for the Walla Walla-College Place area.

Please come by the campaign headquarters at 226 E. Main, next to the toy shop, from 3-5 M-F and from 1-3 Sat-Sun to pick up doorbelling leaflets, phoning instructions, posters, bumper stickers, buttons, voter registration materials, signs for intersection waving, and other campaign materials. We can also use letters to the editor, additional financial contributions, and other help.

We now have 110 local business endorsements of the campaign along with general endorsements by the leaders of 25 local institutions and social service agencies, and by the local newspaper. With your help, we can win this important campaign to save our public transportation system!

Best wishes,
Barbara Clark, Co-Chair, 522-0399
