Walla Walla County Public Transportation Benefit Area
Public Transportation Funding
The Board of Directors of the Walla Walla County Public Transportation Benefit Area, doing business as Valley Transit, adopted Resolution No. 2009-12, concerning a proposition to finance the operation, maintenance, and capital needs of Valley Transit. The proposition would authorize Valley Transit to meet public transportation needs by levying an additional retail sales and use tax of three-tenths (3/10ths) of one percent within the Walla Walla County Public Transportation Benefit Area, the proceeds of which are to be used solely to fund the operation, maintenance, and capital needs of Valley Transit.
